The Broad Street Business Partners is a loose-knit organization made up of all the business owners on Broad Street who wish to participate. The primary mission of the group is to promote business for downtown Louisville. The main event this group sponsors is “Bustlin’ on Broad” held each Thursday night after Thanksgiving and before Christmas. During these events the stores wishing to participate stay open until 9:00 pm and entertainment is provided in the Market House area. The entertainment consists of choirs, musicians and dancers. In addition, a number of the businesses will have events within their stores. Downtown restaurants are encouraged to participate. The focus is to encourage shoppers to do their holiday shopping locally. Most downtown businesses pay a small fee to help with the promotion cost of the events. Overall, Bustlin’ has been a success and continues to grow each year.
